As the Staff Accountant, you will be hands-on, executing on aspects of accounting operations and areas of financial reporting, including day-to-day accounting, monthly close, and assist in preparing, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information for our company. You will support critical pieces of our accounting infrastructure, including (but not limited to), executing a streamlined month-end close process,manage AP and procure to pay process, and recording cash and credit card transactions. Responsibilities:Record cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining internal controls over these cycles
Manage the AP workflow - recording bills, approval, payment, and cash flow management process
Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reports
Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close accounting close to ensure deadlines are met and all items are recorded
Assist with financial analyses, including variance analysis and forecasting
Lead collaboration efforts with external auditors on audit requests
Ongoing review of accounting policies and document current processes
Special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Minimum Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting, CPA a plus1-2 years of general accounting experience
Full understanding and experience with general accounting
Ability to complete steps in the monthly close process as well as the monthly account reconciliations. Maintain close schedule and make adjustments as necessary
Expert proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)Understanding of US GAAP/IFRS as well as financial analysis and forecasting
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
