Position Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing global Treasury team. As the Senior Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for performing detailed account analysis on our short-term marketable securities and cash equivalent positions. You will be key in contributing to our monthly close process. In addition, you will also be required to support the Treasury team as we grow our organization globally. The role will require regular interface with functional leaders and supervisors globally (EMEA, APAC and North America).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of our short-term marketable securities on an ongoing basis
Ensure our investment positions are recorded in line with US GAAP regulations
Manage the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and communication of deliverables to senior management
Assist in the preparation and completion of all Treasury related filings with the SEC and other regulatory bodies including footnote disclosures
Provide support for audit requirements (internal and external)
Support the Finance team(s) with bank reconciliation queries
Prepare monthly management information reports concerning the Treasury function
Monitor Investment Policy compliance by our Portfolio Managers
Work with the Treasury Analyst to implement a cash management and cash forecasting process in the APAC region
Monitor for changes in US GAAP accounting regulations impacting Treasury
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent)
5 or more years of experience in Treasury or Accounting
Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize workload
Desire to learn and grow in the role, and willingness to accept and incorporate feedback
Effective communication, analytical, research and negotiation skills
Ability to work and act independently
Judgement
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Travel Required
Up to 25%
Experience and Education
Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.
