Job Summary
The Metadata Development Specialist is in-charge of quality checking the basic metadata provided by content owners, provides and ensures completeness of content metadata including tags required for publishing by OTT and repurposing groups. Provides metadata, when necessary for newscasts, news-related content and programs with no available metadata due to nature of material. Handles metadata development and QC for all company-produced programs/series from ABS-CBN and Subsidiaries, Acquired, Digital Originals, Movies, and other OTT requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Content Repurposing
Provides and ensures delivery of metadata requirements of various repurposing groups based on agreed SLAs
Develops, edits, quality checks, and reviews metadata for company-produced content and verifies information to ensure its accuracy
Ensures completeness of all required information for archiving in Media Asset Management System (MAMS)
Implements prescribed standards on metadata to meet the requirements of various repurposing groups
Administrative Management
Assists immediate superior in administrative functions related to the section's operations and metadata deliverables
Coordinates and meets with superior for assignments, schedules, and deadlines
Performs any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time
Customer Relations Management
Attends to all queries & provides assistance to clients and ensures that customer feedbacks & complaints are monitored and addressed to in order to continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system & to meet the requirements of clients
Policy and Procedure Implementation
Complies with the implemented corrective actions to eliminate causes of nonconformities encountered by the section to prevent its recurrence
Education
College Graduate (4-year course) - Journalism, Literature, Mass Com or any related course preferred
Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic Computer operations
Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
Keen with details
Flexible and can work with minimum supervision
With excellent command of the English grammar/language
Must pass the Metadata trade test
Willing to work in shifts and long hours
Experience
At least 1 year related job experience preferred
Entry Level / Junior, Apprentice Writing and Content Entertainment / Film / News and Current Affairs / Public Service / Publishing / Digital, etc. 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
