Software Engineer, Associate

POSITION SUMMARY: Designs, develops, and documents applications, performs bug corrections release testing, and beta support which may require research and analysis. May assist in performing on-site client work. Operates under moderate supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs design, implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower level issues of multiple products.
Exercises judgment within generally defined procedures, practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Reviews with business consultants the functional business requirements
Prepares technical documentation of product modules/sub-systems.
Prepares & conducts the unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
Performs somewhat complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to the problems.
Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
Deliver the software according to requirements and planning.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or similar in software engineering or computer science.
Typically requires 18 months to three years of technical experience in product development, implementation and product support.
General technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, programming and implementation.
General analytical and design skills at single product/single environment level.
General skills in research, project planning and implementation.
General understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
General awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
Good communications and interpersonal skills.
Good PC skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of one or more for the position relevant technologies and concepts
