Software Asset Management Solutions Specialist
Responsibilities:
Manage operational end of SAM Service Offering while facilitating the business needs of the client
Working with external clients and internal project teams to achieve license compliance
Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
Identify savings opportunities through software re-harvesting, license optimization, and environment consolidation through coordinated efforts with product owners and teams
Assist clients by addressing service requests, provides information on software availability, license compliance, and problem resolution
Develop reports that pull data showing license entitlements, installations, usage, renewal, procurement status, and data gaps
Responsible for control of the software portfolio in order to optimize the value, cost and risk of software
Assist with performing software compliance activities
Update Flexera SAM system with procurement and license evidence
Monitors maintenance and licensing renewal dates and track licenses; in addition, review license utilization and compliance with current entitlements and provide analytics for potential cost savings and communicate findings with vendor
Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost.
Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to end users, management, developers, and vendors.
Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
Ensure standardization across similar roles in SLMS.
Train new incoming team on the DXC SLMS processes and functions.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - reviewing large data sets for quality, performing VLOOKUP functions, creating Pivot Tables, and data filtering

Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions
Profile:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field
Conceptual knowledge of Software Asset Management/Software Licensing standards, best practices, and processes
