SITE ENGINEER
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Project Planning
Identifying the tasks needed to implement the construction drawings and scheduling these tasks
Study the construction drawings and refer to Production Design for clarifications
Estimate quantity of construction materials
Schedule works at the assigned project or work site
Prepare look ahead plan and schedule of works
Conduct weekly coordination meeting with co-engineers regarding scheduling of workforce
Project Implementation / Supervision
Implement the construction plan based on construction schedule
Supervise, monitor, and control the construction personnel, materials, equipment assigned to a given project or work site
Assure that the project will be delivered on time, on budget, the quality, and within the standards set by the company
Preside the general toolbox meeting
Review and approve documents such as billing, daily construction logbook, working permits, attendance-related documents, etc.
Prepare documents such as project checklists, update forms, progress reports, etc.
Coordinate with other involved departments for the implementation of the projects
Address maintenance concerns of done/completed projects
Safety Compliance
Enforce the Occupational Safety and Health regulations and programs of the company
Resolve safety issues or report to the appropriate officers
Suggest improvements in the company's safety regulations and programs
Promote safety consciousness
People Handling
Screen applicants to fill in job vacancies
Ensure staff has the required competencies to perform their jobs through orientation and training
Assess performance of workers and motivate them to pursue their individual development plans
Recommend appropriate disciplinary actions on erring employees and recommend the rewarding of high performers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Civil Engineer
With at least 1 year working experience in related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Auto CAD proficiency is a plus
Highly Analytical; possesses excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
With knowledge and understanding of project operations
