Responsibilities and Job Qualities
Prepare intermediate-level federal and state business entity and individual income tax returns and nonprofit information reporting forms in accordance with current federal and state tax law.
Plan, prepare and supervise compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements for privately held companies, nonprofit entities and employee benefit plans in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards.
Work closely with client management, partners and staff to coordinate projects from planning through issuance.
Perform technical accounting and tax research and document conclusions
Collaborate project work with partner or manager.
Review client accounting and identify adjustments.
Support Partners with client service execution, including initiating and maintaining client contact.
Proficiency in electronic workflow, Prosystem tax software, Caseware Working Papers or equivalent software, and other necessary software applications.
Actively manage projects for quality and timely completion with appropriate attention to detail.
Develop sound professional judgment.
Perform self-review of work, learn from review points, make self-corrections.
Advanced knowledge of workpaper preparation and appropriate documentation technique.
Ability to direct staff on simultaneous ongoing projects.
Strong written and verbal communication.
