ABOUT US
EDR Accounting & Business Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to work with one of our Australian clients.
Founded in 2017, EDR launched as a progressive accounting firm based in Manila, albeit not together in an office currently, with our second office in Brisbane. Over the years, we have grown exponentially with the conception of our multiple brands, SUMB (Set Up My Business) and SUMO (Set Up My Offshore).
ABOUT THE ROLE
Duties and responsibilities can be categorised as follows:
TAXATION & COMPLIANCE
Prepare/Review Business Activity Statements (BAS) for clients
Prepare/Review Financial Statements, including relevant accounting schedules
Prepare/Review Income Tax Returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trust
Prepare/Review Capital Gain Tax calculations for review and advisory to clients
Prepare/Review Fringe Benefit Tax calculations for review and advisory to clients
ATO CORRESPONDENCE
Liaise with ATO agents regarding client concerns
Facilitate business entity setup and registration
Prepare ATO applications, such as ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG
CLIENT RELATIONS
Provide general accounting and taxation advice to clients
Prepare management reports, such as cash flow budgets and profit plans for clients
Research and interpret taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings to clients
Manage the flow of information between the clients and the firm
Maintain workflow reports for own client work
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
At least four (4) years of experience in Australian Accounting and/or Taxation
Degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or similar
Experience in XERO accounting software, or similar
Professional command in the English language, both written and verbal
Strong customer service orientation
