Sr Supervisor - Accounting

The Sr Supervisor is responsible for managing the accounting for multiple sets of books (general ledgers) across domestic and international locations. This role requires an individual with demonstrated experience of identifying and driving improvements to the quality and efficiency of the operational accounting process. Technical accounting knowledge and a track record of successfully managing teams, and working effectively across functional groups is essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the month end close process for multiple locations
Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for multiple locations to ensure compliance with US GAAP
Supervise two to three direct reports, provide timely coaching and feedback to promote professional growth within the team
Assist in preparation of audit requests and lead other projects as deemed necessary
Assist the team in drafting written documentation of key judgments
Work closely with other accounting teams and cross functional peers in finance, tax, sourcing, and operations
Be aware of SOX requirements and maintain compliance with key controls
Keep current with significant changes in US GAAP and convergence with IFRS
Assist with the identification and implementation of improvements to the quality and efficiency of the month end close and operational accounting process.
Job Specifications
Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)
BS/BBA in Accounting required
Accounting experience required, 4+ years
Strong knowledge of US GAAP required
Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant preferred
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Knowledge of Oracle ERP, Noetix, and Hyperion a plus
