Summary
The Senior SEC Reporting Accountant will be a participant on the SEC Reporting team with responsibilities for the support of the preparation of external reports mandated by U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, support of quarterly reviews and annual audit process. This individual will be responsible for a wide array of duties including SEC reporting, and special projects. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and have excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. This is a position on the finance team and provides exposure to collaboration with various departments such as Accounting, FP&A, Human Resources, Investor Relations, and Legal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the preparation of SEC financial reporting documents and related tie out (to include but not limited to Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy and press releases), as needed.
Prepare supporting information used to compile financial statements, notes and MD&A.
Prepare tie outs of SEC filings.
Assist in ensuring consistent disclosure between releases, earnings scripts and SEC filings.
Rollforward disclosure checklists related to SEC filings.
Assist in the accounting close and reporting process.
Assist SEC reporting team in preparing flowcharts and documenting processes.
Assist in preparation of statutory audit reports
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Big 4 accounting firms and/or with public multinational companies
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related areas
Knowledge of financial statements, US provisions, and foreign provisions
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and statutory accounting principles
Ability to work in a dynamic high-performance and high growth environment with regular communication across multiple global stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented self-starter who takes ownership of work
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
Highly collaborative and team-oriented, and willing to jump in where needed
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Powerpoint
Willingness to learn and implement new software
Preferred Qualifications
Pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification (e.g., CPA)
Knowledge of Oracle FCCS, Oracle Fusion and Oracle EBS financial systems
Experience with Workiva
