Key Responsibilities and functions
Prime interface for customer Technical Managers for all Optics technical aspects.
Provides mentorship, knowledge transfer and technical support to project team members.
Coordinate technical solutions and discussions across multiple internal teams.
Develop and maintain resource plan of the technical delivery resourcing.
Technical tracking of customer issues/alerts and product announcement.
Define Architecture & Test Plan - Capture customer requirements to create customer Network Architecture or Use Cases.
Lead solution discussions focusing about a) High / Low Level Designs, b) Pilot Validations and c) Integration Troubleshooting.
Creation of best practices, and test/document solutions.
Provides feedback to R&D/PLM teams regarding features & performances needed.
Support Services Tendering Team on High-Level Solutions and Effort estimations.
Technical skills and experience:
The successful candidate will have experience in some or all of the following areas (10+ years experience):
More than 10-year experience in Telecom Optics field
Expert knowledge of Optics network engineering, design, service models, deployment models, practical implementations, operations, security and future trends.
Good knowledge and strong background in Nokia Optics products includes 1830 PSS4/8/16/32, PSS36/64 , PSS12X/24X, TDMX/1830LX 1350OMS/NFMT, Linux.
Deployment and integration lead experience with DWDM Core backbone network & PoC.
Other skills, experience and personal characteristics:
Fluent in the English language (Verbal and written). This is a mandatory.
Should be able to articulate technical issues / solutions to internal / external customers.
Self-motivated (Do not require constant 'oversight/assistance' to get jobs done, e.t.c).
Adaptability (Adapt to change quickly; Ability to learn new technology, products, processes, e.t.c quickly)
Accountable and open to constructive feedback.
Exceptional customer service skills. Placing customer needs first is an absolute requirement.
Education
Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Software Engineering or has equivalent work experience.
Additional Requirement
A well experienced Technical manager (with more or less 10 years of experience).
On top of Optic Technical knowledge, this role really requires acumens in leadership , strategic , being accountable, customer-focus , and communication skill
To support the project deployment, deal with customers working level and higher management.
