Job Description:
The Senior Graphic Designer Role is responsible for specific design projects that must be completed within set deadlines to meet the Production Schedule. This position is responsible for devising concepts for creative and innovative designs resulting in the development of a variety of products and associated sales collateral.
The Senior Graphic Designer Role will create detailed production sheets, checking pre-production samples in order to ensure a smooth-running design and production process which meets all specifications within the design brief, and is delivered within the production timeframe.
The Role is all inclusive and responsible for product concept, through to product design and packaging plus associated sales and marketing collateral including printed brochures, print matter, digital for social media, eDM and web.
Work closely with the Production, Sales and Marketing team to ensure brand success.
Responsibilities:
Work within a team to ensure complete responsibility for artwork designs and concepts for all entities, including packaging;
Devise concepts for artwork onto products and ensure that all colours / designs within the range are cohesive and coordinate well to the promotion and target market;
Deliver all designs and accurate production sheets within specified time frames and schedules
Coordinate the ranges so that there is a completely unified / consistent look within the promotional range and marketing material;
Provide detailed and accurate Production Sheets to the Production Coordinator for all products within the specified time frame, checking to ensure all details on the sheets are very clear and correct for our suppliers to understand, in order to prevent errors prior to production. Mocking up products to ensure cut lines are correct;
Check all pre-production samples (with the assistance of the Production Coordinator) to ensure the functionality of the products selected, ensuring all details are correct to the overall design requested;
Ensure all pre-production samples are correct for product photography. If incorrect product is supplied, arrange art work for brochure requirements;
Develop Social Media, Electronic Digital Marketing and Web imagery as requested by the Marketing Department;
Process product photography when required, including deep etching, colour correcting and digital design work;
Proactively self-develop skills and gain required in house information required;
Demonstrate core values in all aspects of work and interactions with others.
Perform other tasks as required for and all entities
Requirements:
College Degree or certification in Graphic Design;
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Strong 3D product design experience is a must (drinkware, stationery, body care, candles, kitchenware and general gift ware)
Ability to use graphic design programs including:
Illustrator and Photoshop for all Design work and Finished Art (Production) (a must)
InDesign (a must)
