Job Description
We are looking for a Senior JavaScript developer to join our team to work on our industry-leading advertising technology platform which enables advanced advertising capabilities on hundreds of top-tier websites globally to tens of millions of users daily.
The successful candidate will be joining a welcoming and dynamic team located around the world as they take a leading role in defining, building, and iterating on our client-facing code, the primary engine of our business.
They will work closely with a mix of other Front-end engineers, as well as the other engineering teams, products, and data.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Once you are onboarded, owning the long-term strategy of technological growth in one or more front end system components
Researching and proposing potential new technologies that can move the stack forward, then communicating them to the engineering and product teams
Taking ownership of the front end code base, working to ensure our platform is up to date and delivering value to our clients
Improving our applications and maintaining a high standard of our technologies across multiple devices, locales and disciplines
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team as needed
Performing peer reviews on source code to ensure reuse, scalability, and the use of best practices
Participating in collaborative technical discussions that focus on software user experience, design, architecture, and development
Qualifications
A high degree of fluency in vanilla JavaScript ES6, with knowledge of modern techniques as well as core JS concepts
Strong experience in responsive and cross-browser web application development
Experience using field data from tools like Lighthouse and Google Core Web Vitals to drive improvements to code performance
Ability to analyze and refactor legacy code
Ability to identify and fix technical debt
Good knowledge of CSS and its pre-processors
Experience in writing high-quality, robust code involving approaches such as unit testing, code coverage, and static code analysis.
Experience in modern front end build tooling (Webpack, ESlint, NPM)
Enthusiasm, pragmatism, and humility. You're good with people, communicating clearly and respectfully in a way that's appropriate to your audience. You ask the right questions and avoid making assumptions.
Experience with GitHub, code reviews, pull requests, and agile methodologies
Experience in these areas would also be a bonus:
A solid understanding of TypeScript
Experience integrating with cloud services, and RESTful APIs
