The role ensures that consolidated financial statements are reported correctly according to PRFS/IFRS/GAAP in coordination with other Business Unit Finance teams. He/She will provide strong leadership and management support to the Corporate Controller in driving financial reporting excellence and compliance to prescribed standards and regulatory requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads the groundwork for the quarterly and annual regulatory reporting requirements for the entire conglomerate including interim and annual financial audit process.
Aligns the entire organization in the adoption of new accounting standards and policies and researches/updates SEC regulations/requirements.
Overall in charge of the financial reporting and BIR/local tax requirements of the Parent and Trademark companies.
Ensures consolidated reports are accurate and in line with appropriate accounting principles and standards; implements process changes or systems as necessary.
Financial statements analysis (consolidated Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cashflow)
Monthly executive committee and quarterly BOD presentation materials
Flash sales and earnings reporting to senior management, JG Summit and Dairy Farm
Prepares Monthly Performance Review package for the consolidated results and updates/improves templates for adoption of the Business Units.
Assists other legal entities with financial reporting queries
Consolidates and prepares approval requests or guidelines for various transactions/activities (write-off, local tax, insurance, allocations, Finance Department budget, etc.)
Reviews, monitors and reports operating expenses of Shared Services Functions and availment against approved capital expenditure budget.
Finance scorecard tracking and reporting.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Public Accountant with at least 5 years of solid statutory reporting and financial accounting experience. Consolidation experience a plus.
Preferably with minimum 3 years external audit experience
Expert knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Communicates with impact; able to interact and collaborate with senior management and across different levels of the organization
Strong leadership, technical, analytical, problem-solving and process-orientation skills
SAP or other related ERP systems and MSExcel proficient
