Duties & responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related disciplines with excellent academic credentials
2-5 years of work experience in real estate industry with proficiency in reviewing real estate documents (leases, loan documents, appraisals, etc) and abstracting relevant deal points for financial analysis
A key aspect of this role will be financial modelling to develop underwriting, market research, due diligence and investment committee material
You will have advanced financial modelling skills (in M&A or property valuation, forecasting or business cases)
Building financial models to analyse investment and development opportunities.
Conduct due diligence and research market conditions
Gaining a full understanding of all the underwriting assumptions and testing these to optimise returns
Liaise with Capital Partners and investors to assist with financial underwrites
Preparation of Institutional Investment Committee documents and Capital Raising and Investment documents
Deal administration and assisting the acquisition and sales process as required
Identifying key market trends and assessing market conditions
Provide market research support to investment / asset management activities
Assisting when required on Asset Management and Development matters including strategic asset or development plans, undertaking lease analysis, internal valuations and budgeting.
Strong quantitative orientation, with knowledge or ability to learn principles necessary in real estate underwriting, including Discounted Cash Flow, IRR, NPV, Time Value of Money, Return on Equity, Debt Returns, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
Self-motivating individual who is detail-oriented, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team under deadlines
Performance objectives
Accountable for a mixed asset portfolio with Fortune 500 clients, the successful candidate will develop their knowledge of multi country real estate and market practices
To deliver exceptional Lease Administration services
To cross-check and verify abstracts and system data;
To audit and review system reports and system data for accuracy
To deliver relevant and accurate reporting
Proven skills in financial modelling and property valuation using Excel
Experience in all the following: valuation, investment analysis, presentation preparation, research, underwriting and co-ordination of due diligence
Superior understanding of real estate investment feasibilities, including DCFs, development feasibilities and be able to produce a financial excel models, if required
Superior quantitative analytical and numerical ability with advanced Excel skills.
