EDR Accounting & Business Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper / Bookkeeping Team Leader to work alongside a group of passionate and fun-loving accounting professionals within the EDR Group of Companies.
Founded in 2017, EDR launched as a progressive accounting firm based in Manila, albeit not together in an office currently, with our second office in Brisbane. Over the years, we have grown exponentially with the conception of our multiple brands, SUMB (Set Up My Business) and SUMO (Set Up My Offshore).
SUMO is designed to provide offshore staffing solutions for small and medium businesses across Australia at a fraction of a cost to hire locally, from our office in Manila.
SUM[B] is developed to be an all-in-one online platform that offers business setup and solutions for new businesses across Australia, taking a range of traditionally cost inhibitive providers and transforming their services into an accessible format.
ABOUT THE ROLE
To provide end-to-end bookkeeping for an Australian client using XERO accounting software, which includes the following tasks, but are not limited to:
Reconciling of bank accounts
Recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Arranging payments as may be required
Processing of payroll
Posting of closing journals
Preparing monthly reconciliations and reporting
Project managing of deadlines with clients and ATO as assigned
Additionally, as team leader:
To manage the capacity planning and monitoring of staffs assigned
To lead and provide mentorship and daily operational support to the bookkeepers of the team
To lead projects as assigned for overall process and performance improvement within the General Services Bookkeeping team
To resolve complex bookkeeping issues including de-escalation of customer complains
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (Must be a Certified Public Accountant)
At least 3 years of actual experience using Xero
At least 1 year of actual experience in leading a team
Must be self-motivated and can work both independently and in an agile team set up
