About the Role
You will be working on websites and web applications. As a Backend Developer, you will play a tremendous yet pivotal role in working across the web services, managing all backend operations, and processing the services to guarantee that the platforms are running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Work across the web services in aiding the development and when need is troubleshooting.
A large emphasis was put on collaboration within the team and the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external members.
Give your input for digital strategies of the project whilst working with the teams and providing reports.
Manage all backend operations and processes of the services to ensure the efficient and effective running of the platforms.
Work on end to end and identify/mitigate any technical issues and improvements to meet business goals for the clients.
Position Requirements
Strong PHP Development experience - can develop and structure their code so that it can be easily adapted to other solutions or other clients.
Strong SQL experience - has the ability to write complex, performant queries across large sets of data are essential.
Understanding of command-line GIT processes.
Ability to manage Ubuntu and CentOS servers through SSH; specifically, the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Apache, PHP, and MySQL.
Knowledge and experience with AWS hosting are highly regarded.
Knowledge of REST API and Soap API, and the ability to write modular code to support external services.
In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
Can work independently and problem solves difficult issues on the fly.
Strong Debugging Skills - can diagnose issues with tools or scripting methods to replicate issues.
