Job Description
The Senior Application Developer is responsible for developing, documenting, and supporting standard and custom reports within the company's systems for the clients. Industry standard tools will be used to develop reports. Interaction with the end user to establish report requirements will be necessary.
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)
Perform the development, maintenance, internal testing of client dashboard (complex and non-complex).
Develop demo dashboard, as and when needed.
Support product development team by implementing new features to another standardization dashboard, as and when needed.
Transfer of pilot data onto portfolio monitoring platform for prospective client demonstrations, identifying the visuals based on the type of data set.
Define, execute, and interpret SQL queries. If needed, update data source query based on the client's requirement.
Review and create documentation for the dashboard.
Support client, Client Services, and BAU Requests.
Collaborate with Client Services to understand and troubleshoot dashboard issues and develop appropriate solutions.
Identify new dashboard features, seek improvement and efficiencies in existing client workbook and process
Lead/support/attend client meeting to understand detailed project requirements, understand business problems and provide recommendation.
Communicate project status updates and recommendations.
Follow Definition of Done and process around Azure DevOps.
Conduct demo and/or Cosmos admin training.
Provide buddy system with other developer.
Qualifications
Education / professional qualifications
Degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
Experience across application delivery.
Background experience
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and
managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics, working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture, and complex data sets. * Understanding of application platforms, business rules and data flows through systems.
Technical
Good understanding of SLAs/OLAs, Agile and ITIL processes and is dedicated to meeting service levels and standards
Experience in working with cross functional teams including 3rd Party vendors as part of incident and problem resolution
Excel VBA, VB.Net
Knowledge of Excel Formulas (Required)
Text formulas, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF
Preferably has knowledge in VBA, Python, Private Equity/Investor services
industry * Knowledge of programming languages (Desired)
Computer / program knowledge
Working knowledge of SQL Databases & ability to write Queries
Crystal Report and or SSRS report writing skills
Experience with Financial and Entity Management systems - Ideally Investran
