Undertake relevant modelling, analytical research, design work, measurement of noise and analysis of acoustic data. Preparation of reports, specifications, proposals and other documentation with limited guidance. Provision of technical advice to internal and external clients.
May lead small projects or components of larger projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Assist in helping to deliver air quality projects throughout ANZ with a longer term view towards also developing clients and workloads in local markets. Assist in setting and meeting agreed budgets as part of fee proposals and bid submissions. Build peer relationships and networks.
Represent Jacobs and/or the industry/profession as appropriate, e.g. involvement in professional bodies, industry events, and conferences. Provide informal guidance to new team members. Submitting high quality, accurate work. Providing information in an articulate and organised manner, within the agreed timeframes and to designated budgets. Timely responsiveness to communications.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering or related field·with eligibility for membership with applicable professional organisations. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A working knowledge and experience in environmental acoustics, particularly in the areas of transport, industry and infrastructure.
Working knowledge of SoundPLAN and/or Cadna/A modelling packages. High level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Computer programming skills would be an advantage. Understanding of acoustics regulations and standards, with knowledge of Australian and New Zealand requirements being an advantage. Commercial awareness. Understanding of client needs (both internal and external). Ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the team.
