About the Role:
As the Senior Accountant your skills in Accounts Management, Attention to detail and analyzation of accounting data and producing financial reports will be of great value as you work together with our lively and goal-driven team.
This is where you'll shine:
Supporting CFO to enhance reporting quality and implement internal control procedures.
Monitor and analyse accounting data and producing monthly and annual financial reports/statements.
Prepare and ensure timely filing/compliance of tax returns including but not limited to income tax, Value Added tax, withholding taxes, doc stamp tax, etc.
Prepare and file statutory reports to government agencies (PEZA, BIR, SEC, LGUs, etc.) such as but not limited to audited financial statements, EZMPR, GFFS, quarterly alphalist, permits for new locations and other reportorial requirements.
Monitor all government payments (BIR, SSS, PHIC, HDMF)
Processing banking transactions (Local and International) including hedging of foreign currency. Prepare check payments, vouchers, wire transfers, and online transactions, as approved by authorized signatories.
Responsible for annual budget, quarterly forecasting activities, financial planning, cash flow management, monthly closing of balance sheet, income statement, and bank reconciliation.
Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures and enforce proper accounting method.
Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
Assess and research tax laws and provide recommendations for the implementation.
Maintain relationship and update information and details as required with clients and internal/external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, insurance broker, BIR and other government departments on company's affairs, accounts, bank accounts, Insurance requirements and tax filing, etc.
Handling customer accounts inquiries related to invoices, credits, and payments
Reporting to foreign headquarters and review intercompany agreements as and when requested.
What you'll bring in:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with professional license (CPA) preferred.
3+ years of accounting experience with Strong financial analysis skills.
Thorough knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards & Taxation (local and national)
Strong communication skills, both in written and verbal with eye for detail
Strong organizational and stress management skills.
Proficient in MS Office Applications and knowledge in using XERO is an advantage
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently and as part of a team under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to train, supervise and coach Junior accounting staff.
Understanding of payroll, leave, and sick leave management
