As a Senior Accountant you will be primarily responsible for general accounting, financial analysis and reporting tasks including support for monthly, half year and year-end financial reporting process. On a daily basis, you will be expected to;
Records and/or validates company transactions
Assist in the preparation of company financial reports
Post entries to the general ledger and manage month-end/ adjusting entries
Maintain company's book of accounts
Prepare annual government reports and ensures monthly and quarterly compliance
Validates company disbursements and monitor payment release
Provide functional support on ERP software implementation
Prepare audit schedules and assist during external audit
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
Helps resolve daily accounting problems
Handle other accounting tasks
To be considered for this role, you would need;
A university degree in Accountancy and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
5+ years' experience in Financial Reporting and Taxation
Experience working on adhoc projects related to ERP software implementation. Experience in using Oracle E-Bussiness Suite applications would be an advantage
A Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
