Site - Alphaland Workset up - Work From home Shifting Schedule The focus of the Security Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of the company solutions related to our current and future hardware, software, and/or network systems. This position will have a strong focus on information security design and implementation. In this role, you will ensure appropriate system resources and configuration are in place to support secure enterprise solutions. Primary responsibilities include support and administration of next-generation firewall, IDS, URL filtering, and other related technologies. The candidate must have a curious investigative mind, an interest in information security, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a team of Information Security professionals supporting the enterprise. Analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis. Creates and maintains enforceable Information Security related procedures and supporting processes Understand software, hardware, and internet needs while adjusting them according to our business environment Understands and stays current regarding security best practices and standards Implement new technologies to solve technical challenges as they arise. Recommend security enhancements to management as needed. Install and use software, such as firewalls, data encryption programs, and anti-spam/malware, to protect organizations' sensitive information. Analyzes and recommends security controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management lifecycle of information systems, and monitors for compliance Testing security solutions using industry-standard analysis criteria
Required Skills: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. 3+ years of experience in Information Security (Required) 3+ years of experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, content filtering, and firewalls Experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications Experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications Basic scripting languages; bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl, etc (Desired) Industry certification such as the following: (Desired) o SANS (GCIH, GPEN, GWAT, GXPN, GCFA, GCFE, GREM) o Offensive Security (OSCP, OSWE, OSCE, OSEE)"
