Duties and Responsibilties:
Prepare more complex reports and work independently with minimal supervision
Monitor compliance with US GAAP and company objectives and policies
Knowledge and experience in using Percent Completion and Transaction Revenue Recognition methods
Has advanced knowledge of accounting and is responsible for more complex collection, monitoring and analysis of project financials and other metrics
Prepare, maintain and analyze financial schedules such as Forward Loss Reserves and Contract Segmentation analysis and others
Performs Project Audits and report findings in accordance with AECOM policies
Prepares Journal Entries related to areas of responsibility
Apply technical expertise as subject matter expert related to area of responsibility
Assist in period-end closing activities and support period-end and year-end close process
Client service to internal stakeholders
Document and analyze current accounting procedures and recommends more efficient procedures as necessary
May lead special projects and provide guidance to more junior accountants
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with direct hands on advanced experience in project accounting or project controls
At least 7 to 10 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within an international business environment. Project Accounting background is a plus
In-depth understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, financial reporting and long-term contract revenue recognition guidance under US GAAP
Experience with advanced Microsoft Excel usage including pivot tables, vlookups, macros, graphs and charts for large volume of data
Hands-on experience with ORACLE ERP system a plus
Willingness to work on a Night shift schedule
Exposure to US GAAP and Percent of Completion Revenue Recognition method would be advantageous
Knowledge of ASC 606 standard is a PLUS
At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
