The position
This position will report to Clinical, Medical, Regulatory & Quality Director.
The Regional Medical Manager provide scientific/medical support to both internal and external stakeholders regarding Novo Nordisk products in alignment with current global strategic objectives as well as local business needs, ensuring that the profile of Novo Nordisk remains high amongst KOLs, HCPs and patients..
This job is primarily field based (
50%), with travelling required across the Philippines.
This position requires:
Medical education:
Serving as a scientific expert, responsible both internally and externally for scientific communication aligned with strategic imperative and healthcare market challenges
Execute medical education activities (small-scale regional/large scale national scientific activities) and engagements that is compliant with ethical standards, company procedures and other local legal requirements
KOL interaction/engagement:
Implementing the Medical Affairs strategy and key tactics, foster collaborative relationship with key opinion leaders and facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information (including deep and advanced diabetes knowledge and product expertise) between the medical community and Novo Nordisk to develop scientific
advocacy for our products at a local level in line with business needs primarily (90%) through face to face and virtual interactions
Build and maintain good rapport with external stakeholders and ensure that the profile of Novo Nordisk remains high
Identify upcoming speaker and facilitate speaker training on Novo Nordisk products
Actively participate in execution of KOL individual execution plan for the affiliate
Medical guidance:
Answer medical queries related to products raised by HCPs and field staff (in OCE - MIRF)
Assist cross-functional teams (i.e. sales, marketing) in designing and implementing educational programmes that are aligned with the current medical-marketing strategies
Conduct training and provide medical guidance for all internal associates, including safety labelling updates
Cross-functional:
Assist the CMRQPV team by providing medical information/documents necessary for RA activities, and aligning with the medical strategies and plans of the CMRQPV head
Facilitate in planning & execution of new product launches
Serving as primary interface between HCPs or patients and Novo Nordisk Philippines in safety concerns, as deemed necessary
Clinical Activities:
Visits clinical trial sites in case of medical interaction support is requested by the clinical trial department
Support investigator sponsored trial internal process
Qualifications
Essential
Local licensed Physician
Minimum 1 year of post licensure experience preferably in pharma industry
Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to influence and work with cross-functional colleagues as well as external stakeholders
Strategic, problem-solving, and innovative mindset
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Desirable
Post graduate medical qualification is desirable
Knowledge and experience of the disease area (Diabetes, Cardiovascular, other Endocrine-related disorders)
Knowledge and experience of the local healthcare landscape and customers
Fluency in written and spoken English
