POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Quality Tester is responsible for ensuring proper testing and quality oversight is applied to all software releases for TIG.
The Quality Tester will be responsible for test execution and reporting as part of their day-to-day duties. The Quality Tester will also provide their inputs on whether a software release was ready for production deployment.
The Quality Tester will also work closely with the members of the development team to improve quality standards and processes, to deliver the highest quality software.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Test planning
Create and maintain test master plans.
Maintain appropriate resource level plans and ensure we have adequate resources to test against master plan.
Create, maintain, and review test cases for application testing.
Test execution
Test applications according to test plans and where appropriate the relevant exploratory testing.
Ensure all supporting assets to enable testing are in place before test execution is due to commence.
Where relevant develop automated testing procedures to assist in the testing process.
Release management
Participate in sign off process for all software releases providing feedback on state of software release.
Work with development team to manage release inclusions.
Ensure release artefacts are updated.
Development team collaboration
Assist development and testing teams where required to analyse issues, test software against specification or any related activities.
General
Work to all (reasonable) deadlines as prescribed by your manager.
Perform any general tasks as directed by your manager.
Requirements
Mandatory
3+ years' experience as a tester working within a software development team.
2+ years' experience working with Agile or similar development methodologies.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Computer Science or related degree.
Desirable
Freight / Logistics domain experience.
Automation testing experience.
Load / Performance testing experience
Knowledge of Jira / Confluence or similar tools highly regarded.
