Hyperglance's mission is to allow organisations with large complex cloud architectures to easily see, understand and optimise their AWS, Azure and Kuberentes deployments. Our unique platform is gaining traction, we need a security-minded Automation Engineer to innovate, win, and grow with us!
Brief:
We are looking for 100% remote QA Manual/Automation Engineers to join our ranks.
As a remote employee you will be communicating with your team-mates over GSuite Chat regularly so we seek someone with good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
We have an established RobotFramework test suite setup already but we need your help to take it to the next level with more test coverage on our existing features as well as helping us define, build, test and ship new features. As a lean and mean startup we ship new features all the time!
You will have the power and responsibility to influence the testing paradigm and the libraries and tools we use so that our QA processes are kept up to date.
Duties and responsibilities
Participate in 2-weekly status meetings to assist in release and iteration planning activities and provide daily updates about on-going work.
Perform all kinds of tests as required (functionality, integration, performance, usability, regression, acceptance, sanity, etc.)
Work hand-in-hand with developers and CTO to define and clarify features and/or outstanding bugs, to help bring upcoming releases to a ready state.
Plans and prepare test cases with precision, and ensures tasks are completed on time
Identify and raise blockers and critical issues in testing.
Identify, select, and use appropriate tools for different types of testing related to test preparation, automation, execution and analysis.
Able to ramp-up quickly, collaborate well and establish testing processes as needed.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Must be a seasoned professional in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
Experience in testing our product's software stack or a similar stack:
Java based server
REST APIs
React / Angular UIs
Knowledge/Experience in Robot Framework, ideally including:
Some Python coding
RequestsLibrary
JSONLibrary
SeleniumLibrary
Familiar with using cloud providers: AWS and Azure
Experience with deploying IaC (Infrastructure­As­Code) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Comfortable with Linux/Bash and Docker commands.
The Ideal Candidate Would Also Have These Skills:
Knowledge/Experience in setting up test pipeline (Bitbucket)
Knowledge/Experience in Git
Knowledge/Experience in executing UI and API performance tests using Fiddler/JMeter or similar tools
Experience of executing tests as part of a Continuous ­Integration environment (we use Atlassian Pipelines)
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Pipelines, Confluence)
Docker or Kubernetes
Experience writing IaC (such as Terraform or CloudFormation).
