Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Importation: Responsible for the coordination and organization of all imported materials coming into the company.
Local Purchases: Responsible for the canvass of various tools, parts, suppliers and services and to monitor deliveries of the same at the right, quality and price.
IMPORTATION
Prepares purchase requisitions and requisitions slip for importation.
Coordinate with technicians in the development of specifications for equipment, materials and services to be purchased
Monitor deliveries especially for incoming shipment thru Loose Cargo or TNT Express (checking status/update – delivery clearance from customs for updating to Management)
Work closely with suppliers to ensure that manufacturing timelines and order requirements are met.
Review orders to ensure that they are complete and accurate before forwarding to the overseas supplier.
Responsible of reporting any damages of parts or machine to supplier that came from shipment
LOCAL PURCHASES
Source, assess and award supplier quotations and proposals for local purchases
Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions with local suppliers to acquire the best pricing for each item ordered / serviced to be performed.
Coordinating with accounting department to ensure that payments are made to suppliers within specified time frames
Prepares purchase orders and send to the awarded supplier for local purchase
Follow-up the status of the local purchase order
Prepares and maintains local purchasing records, as well as price lists from suppliers.
Accredits local suppliers and evaluates their performance on a regular basis.
