Job description
The primary responsibility of the Primary Grades Specialist is to ensure the curriculum alignment, content alignment, relevance, and grade-level appropriateness for all subjects in each grade level. The tasks may include but not limited to the creation of curriculum maps and educational content that is aligned with DepEd (either or both Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) and K to12), grade-level appropriate, and relevant to the context of Filipino learners.
reviewing and editing curriculum maps and educational content
reviewing the guidelines and rubrics to ensure that content alignment, relevance, and appropriateness can be consistently done in the mass production of educational materials
evaluating educational materials in terms of content accuracy and adequacy of instructional design based on the K to 12 as well as the MELC provided by DepEd.
The Primary Grades Specialist must be committed, flexible to changes, and are able to keep up with a fast-paced production.
Experience
At least two years experience in teaching in Grades 1 to 3
Experience in curriculum development, writing/editing educational materials
Education
Required: Graduate of Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) in any of the following, but not limited to:
BS Education (Elementary Ed)
BS Family Life and Child Development
BS Early Childhood Development
Master's or Doctorate Degree and is an advantage
MA Ed Special Education
MA Ed Elementary Mathematics
MA Ed Teaching in the Early Grades
MA Ed Reading Education
Work arrangement
