Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Presales Specialist is responsible for:
Rapid and accurate quoting of Cisco & Meraki products within 4 hour SLAs.
High volume request handling via help desk ticketing system (FreshDesk).
Support customers and internal departments with regards to Cisco & Meraki products and processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain exceptional customer service through;
Fast quote turn around of
Accurate pricing with no room for error.
Managing high ticket volumes and ad hoc escalations.
Detailed and clear responses, written in professional business English.
First point of contact via phone and email for customer pricing and technical enquiries.
Building Bill of Materials in Cisco CCW Tool based on your product knowledge.
Stay current through continued technical learning & certification.
Other duties as requested.
MAJOR CHALLENGES
The Presales Specialist role is the key customer touch point within the Customer Service Team and is responsible for ensuring our partners 'first encounter' with our business is one of exemplary service with a strong focus on technical excellence. The role will require a high level of professionalism and the ability to juggle multiple phone calls and tasks whilst ensuring a consistent level of support for our customers. The Presales Specialist must ensure all customer responses are within set SLA's and must balance speed and accuracy so that one doesn't negatively impact the other.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Knowledge
Essential
Cisco CCNA certified, or otherwise must be achieved within 6 months of start date.
High drive to continuously learn. Must complete a new course or certification every 6 months.
Knowledge of IT networking and ability to describe core components (router, switch, VoIP etc).
Hard working, self-motivated
Mathematics skills (algebra, formulae, percentages etc).
Strong soft skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and staff.
Professional business communication skills.
Very strong attention to detail.
Sense of urgency.
Preferred
Experience managing and prioritising large request volumes with escalations.
Understanding of commercial calculations, including margins, discounting, and foreign exchange math.
Advanced Excel (merging datasets, using VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc).
Experience
2 years of quoting experience or Cisco Product experience.
Cisco CCW tool experience ideal.
