As a platform engineer, you will build and maintain distributed systems that power our award-winning Home Loan products. You will also help deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions to help our business operate more efficiently and adapt to changing needs. You will be a valued member of a DevOps and agile delivery team with a focus on development, testing, operation, and migration of applications to the public cloud. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to our thriving ecosystem using modern approaches and technologies in system integration, event streaming, databases, and cloud platforms.
To be successful in this role, you need:
Proficiency in relational databases, and SQL queries and procedures
Proficiency in scripting and automation, using UNIX/shell scripting or Python
Experience working with cloud technologies, preferably AWS or GCP
Demonstrable ability to break down problems and solve them systematically
Good communication skills, able to articulate your thoughts to any audience
Although not required, experience in the following will be highly valued:
Enterprise JAVA and microservices
Monitoring and alerting tools, such as Sumologic, AppDynamics, Splunk
Enterprise integration applications, such as Webmethods or FUSE
Data modelling and visualisation tools like Power BI
