POSITION PURPOSE
The Payroll Specialist must coordinate with respective government agencies and institutions for ensuring proper remittance and update policies and processes corresponding to new guidelines and procedures set forth by the government body. And also timely submission of validated reports for payment including monthly expanded and compensation withholding taxes, Phil Health, Pag-Ibig, SSS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
1. Maintains liaison with government agencies in line with personnel services e.g. SSS, Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth benefits, payroll, etc.
2. Maintains , updates and submits the changes of employee records such as change in status and dependents to SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-Ibig (HDMF).
3. Reconciles or adjust disputes on contributions of government mandated benefits and remittance of loan deductions.
4. Processing and monitoring of government-mandated benefits of IMC employees.
5. Monitor, manage, maintain and respond accordingly to associate concerns, issues and inquiries regarding payroll and ensure these are properly addressed and resolved based on appropriate communication channels with tact and tenacity but ensuring acceptable diplomacy.
6. Update and reconcile monthly government remittances and payables
7. Ensure all payments and deductions are properly accounted for and mapped accurately for proper charging of accounts
8. Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
The above functions and responsibilities may be reasonably updated by the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Human Resource Management or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 1 - 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledgeable on government remittances and payables.
Computer literate
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language
Outgoing personality and service driven with a positive and "can do" attitude
Able to handle stress under tight timelines
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Can work under minimal supervision
