Job description:
The main duties include but are not limited to:
Reviews and validates payroll calculations prepared by HR and reconciles data against various supports and reports
Performs variance analysis for regular payroll and parallel runs.
Validates the accuracy of bankfile versus the approved payroll register.
Upload bankfile to BPI Bizlink.
Notify approvers on the bankfile for approval.
Reviews SSS and HDMF Loan for payroll deduction and reconciles with SSS and HDMF statements;
Reviews final settlement of leavers prior to FM's final review and payment processing;
Coordinates payroll funding requirement and ensures updated numbers are used on weekly cash flow forecast and monthly funding requirement reports;
Reviews payroll disbursements vs approved Payroll registers/ Final Settlements. Ensures accurate payroll accounting entries are recorded with emphasis on proper account classifications of payroll expenses, dimensions and related taxes on transactions;
Reconciles the monthly remittances to SSS, PHIC, BIR and HDMF for payment processing and ensures timely payment of contributions, loans and taxes;
Prepares monthly schedules of withholding tax from Compensation (1601-C & F / 1601 CF) in compliance with BIR Filing including annualization of compensation taxes;
Prepares month-end journals including but not limited to payroll accruals / adjustments;
Prepares month-end / year-end schedules and reports related to payroll and other required schedules;
Determines and drives payroll-related process improvement initiatives.
Coordinates with Finance and HR teams to guarantee efficient payroll process flow.
Comply with Company policies in accordance with the Arcadis Way and legislative requirements.
Assist the auditors in yearly audits.
Perform other accounting related function that may be assigned in the future.
Knowledgeable in Payroll and Accounting Software (i.e. Oracle)
Validate Final Pay before preparing final pay checks.
Other task related to Payroll and Finance.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor's college degree in Accounting, Finance, Businessor related field.
Minimum of 5 Years of work experience in similar field in a BPO or Shared Services environment.
Expertise in Payroll and Accounting Processing, Problem Solving including manual computation.
Knowledgeable on end to end payroll processing.
Preferably Experience in handling expat payroll with foreign currency component.
Good knowledge of Tax & compensation related laws and practices.
Experienced in Year-end tax annualization and Payroll Audit.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Applications particularly in Excel.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Above average customer service skills.
Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.
Can work under pressure and with great ability to multi-task
