What you'll do
This is a contract role. As the documentation specialist, you will play an important role in enabling the transformation of Pearson's global payroll team by producing detailed reference materials. Using various data gathering techniques, you will create end-to-end business process documents and process flow charts for critical global payroll processes.
Who you will work with
You will work with Pearson's global payroll team who are located around the world. You may have occasional engagement with Pearson's People Care and Country teams, members of Finance, HR centers of excellence, and potentially external third-party vendors.
Responsibilities:
Gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize and deliver process documentation and flow charts
May facilitate and/or participate in workgroups in the development and/or review of operational documentation and flow charts
Support standardization through defined documentation templates to ensure consistency
Produce high-quality artifacts and deliverables
Ability to quickly grasp concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Write easy-to-understand user guides and suggest innovative approaches for documenting
Explain concepts and processes simply and concisely to help internal users understand processes, workflows, and tools
Required skills/experience:
2+ years of operational process documentation
Demonstrated experience with process flow diagram software such as Lucid Chart or IBM Blueworks
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
Superb writing skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate concepts and create well-structured messages
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
Self-starter and highly motivated, with an entrepreneurial mindset
Ability to learn quickly and work independently as part of a team
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
COVERAGE: 6-9 months Contract Period
