The Role
As a Payroll Admin Specialist, you will be tasked to provide support in the preparation and processing of payroll and journal entries, set up and reconciliation of accounts and reports while ensuring data accuracy and service delivery as well as compliance to professional and regulatory standards. Your primary responsibility is handling and recording internal accounts transactions as assigned as well as other financial transactions of the company from time to time.
The role will report administratively to the HR Manager based in the Philippines while reporting functionally to the Financial Controller of NZ Build Group.
This role provides plenty of opportunity to showcase your abilities on Payroll, Accounting Principles and Practices, Financial Transactions, Data Accuracy and Accounting Systems and be part of the pilot team of offshore resources of NZ Build Group.

Duties & Responsibilities
Checks payroll and contractor pay computations and related transactions
Corresponds and does follow up with NZ personnel for payroll accuracy and timeliness
Prepares journal entries relating to payables, receivables, amortization, depreciation, accruals and a variety of other financial information.
Checks the correctness of accounting entries and performs account reconciliation for balance sheet and expense accounts
Supports closing the monthly book of accounts in a timely manner, and ensures the monthly reports adhere to applicable Accounting principles
May perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct
Files tax forms and other required documents for NZ
Processes supplier invoice payments and ensures prompt and accurate payment
Maintains assigned Accounting programs/systems and keeps them up to date
Provides assurance that Account information complies with professional and regulatory standards
Can conduct self-audit to maintain truthful and precise Accounting data
Work Hours:
Mondays to Fridays 9:00AM - 6:00PM NZT (45 hours/week) or 4:00AM to 1:00 PM PHT (on DST)
Educational /Professional Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Qualifications / Skills:
At least 3 years experience in the Accounting function focusing on Payroll Administration
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping
Must have knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Xero is desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Office is an advantage
Can communicate well in written and oral English Language
Proactive and can work with less supervision
An absolute commitment to customer service and follow-up
A positive "can-do" attitude
Ability to implement own systems, good organizational and time management abilities
Follows instructions independently
Has a high sense of responsibility, dependability, work ethics and integrity
Technical Requirements:
For this role, you will need your own & backup laptop/desktop with video (i5 processor or higher) and dual monitor setup
