The Role
As an Operations Specialist, you will be temporarily filling-in vacancies in the Financial Controllership Division to ensure that operations are not affected by manpower movements. You will evaluate existing processes and procedures of the Division to provide recommendations in improving operating efficiency and effectiveness.
How you'll contribute
Reviews processes and procedures within the Division through inquiry and process walkthrough to ensure compliance with established bank policies and guidelines and identify issues and gaps.
Maintains a productive work relationship with process owners by effectively attending and meeting their needs to ensure smooth conduct of review engagements.
Discusses issues and gaps noted during review with process owners through meetings, over the phone or email to ensure timely resolution.
Develops official standard templates and forms using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel) to help or enhance work flows.
Maintains copy of the documentation of projects handled in a central database to ensure that work is properly documented.
Oversees the implementation of process improvements by providing guidance and training on new processes, procedures or templates to ensure effective and consistent implementation.
Assists business units in performing specific procedures and/or processes in accordance with bank's policies and guidelines to augment the manpower requirements of requesting units.
Processes valid and properly supported disbursement vouchers based on established bank guidelines to ensure their timely and accurate processing.
Assists in the preparation of accurate and timely BSP reports in accordance with bank's guidelines to comply with regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, Industrial, Finance, Banking
Knowledge in accounting and auditing standards, banking operations and regulations, and project management tools
Must have effective interviewing and negotiation skills
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to communicate effectively with all units within the Fincon Division
Must be able to do multi-tasking and keen to details
