The Role
As an Operations Officer, you will prepare and review external reports to comply with the regulatory requirements and internal reports for use of management in sound business decisions.
How you'll contribute
Prepares variance analysis of internal and external reports by comparing current reports against previous month's reports and identifying the reasons behind the variances or posting error, if any, to provide management the analysis on the increase/decrease of account balances
Performs report simulation to ensure adaptation with the regulatory requirements and to properly apply regulations on processes handled.
Documents the updates in process manuals, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs) by incorporating newly issued regulatory requirements and applicable controls in coordination with other units to facilitate the preparation of reports.
Conducts annual risk assessment on process/reports handled for proper risk mitigation
Attends to audit requirements of regulatory agencies and external auditors by providing required reports and schedules for audit compliance.
Maintains file back-up and orderly filing of records thru the Fincon Server and designated filing area to comply with the Unit's record retention requirements.
Conducts user testing of system updates in Fusion Banking Equation (FB EQ) and Financial Reporting Package (FRP) system including validation of output reports to ensure the reliability of the system and generated reports.
Approves Central Posting Unit's (CPU) transactions in FB EQ as an alternate approver in cases when the CPU Head is not available
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in any related field
Have at least 2 years experience in Accounting/Audit/Tax Services, Banking, Leasing/Financing Institutions
Knowledge in BSP regulations, accounting standards, and banking operations
Proficient in MS Excel; financial/numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to communicate effectively; keen to details
