We have an exciting opportunity for a Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) Operations Intern for a Manila-based role. As an intern, you will be given an opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience to kick-start your career in the financial services industry. In this role, you will be joining the Equity Derivatives and Trading (EDT Ops) team which performs operations support to processes relating to trade activity, processing of incoming confirmations received from clients, drafting of invoices, agreeing settlements with clients, data management, and brokers and processing payment requests.
You will be responsible for processing Trade Lifecycle transactions and managing associated risks, handling the confirmation processes to ensure economic & non-economic terms are accurately represented on all outgoing confirmations, settling trades, brokerage, and custody fees, verifying and authenticating payment and settlement instructions received from clients and counterparties, liaising with external clients and the CGM Division's Marketers & Traders on technical queries, working with both the local and global CGM Operations team to drive identification and implementation of improvements in operational processes, from a control and / or efficiency perspective and managing a business project.
About you
We are looking for students from a wide range of degree backgrounds who need a mandatory internship (at least 400 hours or more) as part of their curriculum. You will have a keen eye for detail, strong commitment to completion and delivery, excellent communication skills, good risk mindset, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
