POSITION TITLE: Operations and HR Officer
PROJECT: BUILDING SAFE AGRICULTURAL FOOD ENTERPRISES (B-SAFE)
REPORTS TO: Deputy Chief of Party
POSITION SUMMARY:
This post supports the Deputy Chief of Party in project operations .operations. This post is responsible for management and oversight of the administrative aspects of the project, including procurement, monitoring of contracts, and human resources.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensures that the necessary logistical support and financial resources are mobilized in a timely manner to execute project activities.
Prepares procurement documents and contracts and monitors the delivery of output and disbursal of payments.
Provides assistance in the review of consultants' work and outputs, particularly on compliance to contractual obligations.
Ensures compliance of personnel documentation in accordance with the B-SAFE Employee Handbook.
Facilitates timely performance reviews and monitoring of personnel, providing necessary advice to improve staff/team performance.
Provides support in setting up and managing the B-SAFE Office, particularly in the procurement of equipment and services for building contractors and management of project inventory.
Manages the day-to-day office operation.
Receive, log-in, and distribute incoming mail and manage outgoing mail.
Assist in providing the necessary logistics requirements in B-SAFE events and capacity development activities.
Assist in organizing staff travel such as airline/bus and hotel booking for domestic travels.
Assist with updating and maintaining operational policies and procedures.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: * Contribute to the overall program planning, monitoring and reporting to ensure timely and efficient progress in line with project goals and objectives.
Balances efforts at cost reduction while ensuring operational efficiency and improvements to meet the program's goals.
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or other related fields
Minimum 5 years' experience in project operations including procurement, HR and finance.
Experience in working on USG funded projects, experience with USDA projects preferred.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in overseeing project operations, HR and finance matters
Ability to work in team and have good interpersonal communication skills.
Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
