Motor pool Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that all Vehicle and Heavy equipment are in top operating conditions and are available for operation as needed. They should have excellent understanding of the company's operating procedures and policies; have the commitment to put them into practice and ensure that all of them comply with the requirements as outlined by certifying authorities. They are also responsible of overseeing the activities of maintenance personnel so that they are in compliance with the company's regulations concerning safety procedures thus minimizing personal injury risks, environmental and company asset damage.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, corrective and predictive inspections, and repairs to minimize breakdown of units.
• Coordinate and schedule manpower and spare parts to meet maintenance requirements to minimize breakdown; coordinate maintenance activities with other plant operations.
• Execute prioritized daily maintenance activities (preventive and predictive) obtaining full utilization of work force while optimizing available opportunities for all maintenance.
• Supervise material control (spare parts inventory) and repair.
• Ensure vehicles and heavy equipment readiness for operation. • Identify and ensure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are promptly corrected.
• Supervise performance, operation, fabrication, and workmanship of all maintenance staff.
• Make certain work assignment to all maintenance personnel in the motor pool.
• Enforce the accuracy of maintenance work, and confirm the completion of the work.
• Enforce company safety rules, procedures and practices.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
 
Work Experience
1-3 years maintenance supervisory experience on light vehicle and heavy equipment in the motor pool or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Academic Background
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Graduate of 2 years course in Automotive and has TESDA Certification on automotive with previous leadership experience, preferred.
 
Competency Profile

• Strong technical knowledge in preventive & unplanned maintenance systems.
• Interpersonal skills to work well within the team environment at the motor pool to ensure plans are correctly implemented.
• Advanced Engineering knowledge including workmanship in helping the design, analyze and troubleshoot problem on the vehicle and equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power point. • Good planning and priority setting skills.
• Prepares vehicles for disposal in accordance with the vehicle replacement program requirements.
• Serves as first point of contact for vehicular accidents that involve fleet vehicles, reviewing accident reports and obtaining police reports.
