Job Description
The main task is to render support to attain the objectives and goals of the BU and plant quarry teams involving the following areas of concern.
Quarry Operations Management:
Quarry safety and environmental management in relation with compant and government standards and regulation.
Execution of quarry development and production activities with reference to quarry plan set in place by the company with quarry team - throughput monitoring, quarry contractor performance in terms of safety performance and Equipment mechanical availability as well as reliability and other parameters, quarry operations KPI monitoring and analysis, quarry cost assessment, etc.
Reserves utilization optimization management - also in reference with the quarry plan
Preparation and submission of monthly regulatory report.
Interactions with other departments of the organization toward completion of sustainability endeavors, land and quarry or business development strategic planning and execution
Minimum Qualifications
Capable of making quick and sound decisions
A licensed/registered mining engineer;
1 to 2 years of professional and supervisory experience;
Ability to use basic computer software's as tools of the trade - MS word, power point and excel; Preference will be accorded to one who is has a knowledge with software's for computer aided drawing/drafting and mine planning.
Familiarity with government regulations and policies on mining, environmental management and mine safety and health;
Ability to adjust and relate well with colleagues and especially with stakeholder's representatives to maintain and establish good rapport;
Ability to work for long hours with minimal supervision;
Willingness to travel and be assigned in the field for a considerable length of time;
Holder of a driver's license;
Good communication skills (oral and written);
Capable of making quick and sound decision;
Strong personality; able to work independently;
