Job Description
A strong candidate for this position would have extensive experience in:
Metaswitch network management, upgrades, and testing of CFS, EAS, MVS, SAS, MVD, Perimeta, UX4410, and ATCA ShM.
Expert in LERG translations loading and updates of Metaswitch CFS, both on-switch and file based.
Expert on Perimeta adjacency management and SIP troubleshooting.
Expert on EAS SIP Provisioning Server for HPBX Endpoint Packs and the ability to develop new extension packs.
Expert on Poly, Algo, Cisco, Obihai, and Joher VOP phone provisioning, upgrades, and custom design features.
Metaswitch and Hosted PBX management and design via Metaview Web and Metaview Explorer.
Knowledge of OrecX Call Recorders, Tier 4 support.
Knowledge of Loadbalancer.org WAF implementation and troubleshooting, Tier 4 support.
Understanding of NTP, DNS, SIP, RTP, UDP, TCP, TLS, SRTP, SILK, and RFC2833 in a SIP network.
Ability to compare SIP vendor behavior to RFC requirements and implementation by the vendors. Manage trouble tickets and fix requirements with vendors.
Understanding of network interfaces and protocols. Ability to configure Adtran and customer routers and switches.
Knowledge of SD-WAN configurations and deployments.
Knowledge of Network security and firewalls in a HPBX environment.
Ability to design and use automation tools, electronic processes, and data validation software/scripts.
Knowledge of Metaswitch security and best operating practices across OSI layers 2-7.
Qualifications
Qualifications
A degree, preferably post-graduate, in Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5-10 years of similar experience at a large regional, national, or international MSO, CLEC, ILEC, ISP, or MSP
Expert hands-on knowledge in Metaswitch, Poly, Cisco, Algo, Adtran, OrecX, and Loadbalancer.org
