Duties and Responsibilities:· Day-to-day management in the laboratory, including supervision and monitoring.
Ensure standard procedures of material sampling and testing are properly implemented in accordance with applicable standards.
Plans the work and efficiently organizes the site to meet agreed deadlines.
Check and validate test reports in compliance with the minimum testing requirements in accordance with the Approved Quality Control Program.
Ensure that all materials incorporated to work comply with the requirement of standard specification and schedule of minimum testing requirements· Coordinates with the construction and engineering team in reporting any issues encountered that may cause delays in the execution of scheduled activities.
Manage site and laboratory materials sampling and testing daily.
Monitor standard procedure on concrete cylinder/beam sampling, storing, and curing processes to ensure the quality of the sample.
Monitor the testing schedule of concrete cylinder/core and grout cube samples for compressive strength determination and beam samples for flexural strength determination seeing to it that testing is done on time.
Review test results of materials tested such as concrete aggregates, soil aggregates, compressive strength of concrete cylinder/core/grout cube sample, and flexural strength of beam sample chemical analysis of reinforcing steel bar, physical test of cement, and field density test by sand cone method.
Monitor and ensure laboratory equipment and apparatus are in good condition and calibrated according to an established program of maintenance and calibration Maintaining records by implementing a proper document control system for recording, easy tracking of documents, and quality assurance audit.
Other duties as assigned by the management.
