RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish standards and procedures for application and website testing (functionality tests, user UI/UX validation tests)
Primarily test website frontend across multiple devices and resolutions to identify gaps, bugs and issues. Compare against the proposed UI designs for web development inconsistencies.
Test website backend functionalities to ensure it runs as desired, and as explained in the original test cases.
Create tickets in the project management tool for identified bugs.
Work closely with the development team on improvements, guidelines and considerations to avoid repeating the same errors.
Document the QA Team standards and processes in the QA Team Manual using a step by step and easily repeatable process. Be the custodian of the Team Manual.
Identify, analyse, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens and content
Assist with all aspects of quality assurance including product
Compare features and websites against UI designs for gaps and QA issues
Use websites as users, look for issues and work with the head of development on documenting all QA issues
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Bachelor's/College degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar relevant education.
Minimum 5 years experience testing software/website testing.
Advanced in manual QC/QA testing skills
Understands the nature of eCommerce and orders online frequently
Experience with cross-browser testing on Mac, PC and mobile
Excellent time management and ability to focus on deadlines while being detail oriented.
Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment as well as independently with minimal direction
A very keen eye for website design UI and UX.
Experience in Prototyping/Wireframing
Experience in/o with Balsamiq, InVision, Axure or similar tools
Comfortable in managing different devices (mobile, tablet, desktop)
