Job Description
To effectively build and manage team in the Philippines to support operational services for the FedEx Custom Critical in the USA ensuring that department or operational goals are achieved, and processes and procedures are completed promptly and consistently. Ensures that all activities are in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Your Contribution
People and Performance Management: Recruits, develops, motivates and manages the team performance. Provides guidelines, support and coaching to ensure that team members have the competencies, capabilities and tools to consistently deliver individual and team objectives.
Process and Procedures: Ensures team awareness of current processes and procedures, and relevant Company and regulatory requirements, which may impact the operation or department. Takes steps to ensure any changes are implemented.
Planning: Plans and schedules resources, including rostering, to ensure department priorities are completed. Communicates targets and goals to the team. Provides updated on progress towards goals for senior management and team.
Reporting & Data Management: Arranges completion of accurate and timely reporting across area of responsibility. Provides reports, presentations and relevant information to senior management as required.
Project Management: Oversees team projects/initiatives in order to deliver planned results on time and within budget. Supports the team using project management tools and processes to plan, control and execute various project /programs.
Alignments: Builds effective networks relationships within own team and with key stakeholders across the business in order to achieve optimal business outcomes. Maintains external alignments with customers, vendors, relevant subject matter experts (SMEs) or external bodies as required. Represents company in external organizations as required.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeks to develop and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the team by applying quality driven management (QDM) principles.
Budget Management: Manages department/location budget and takes appropriate actions in order to optimize costs and to remain within agreed parameters. May include involvement in vendor management and/or procurement.
Compliance: Ensures team activities are completed on time and effectively, whilst maintaining compliance with company and statutory/regulatory requirements. Highlights and acts on areas of significant risk to minimize it.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business management, Finance/Economics, HR or related fields.
5 years relevant working experience.
Experience in a multi-national company and in working with different cultures preferred.
Strong business acumen.
Knowledge of logistics/airline/ express transportation industry.
A general understanding of HR, Finance, Customer Services and Sales functions.
