This new role will serve as the subject matter expert for the Learning Enablement team, particularly related to LMS expertise and driving delivery via various related systems in the future.
You'll be responsible for all our learning systems, particularly our Learning Management System and supporting the Canva U team in leading the end-to-end process for learning programs through our identified tech stacks. This will ensure all learning is made available to all Canvanauts at the right time to support growth and development.
This person will act as the conduit between end-users such as all Canvanauts and partner closely with our IT teams to ensure that business and user requirements are delivered in our Learning Management System. This role requires excellent partnership with the business, ability to understand requirements, define deliverables and deliver with minimal direction.
What you'll do (Responsibilities)
Function as a subject matter expert for all our LMS processes in, responsible for system optimisations, configuration of new functionality and change management.
Investigate and troubleshoot LMS related issues through the application of root-cause analysis and resolve as necessary. Provide support to internal users and advise the People team, leaders and Canvanauts in the proper use of the system.
Raise bugs and defects to IT (People Systems). Review and test deployed fixes to bugs and defects.
Support IT (People Systems) in reviewing, testing and implementing scheduled releases of the LMS, work with impacted teams to explore new functionality and make recommendations on potential adoption.
Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits of our LMS data, supporting the timely and accurate processing of people data as required and by seeking opportunities for improvement.
Create and maintain detailed documentation and training materials. Lead end user training and onboarding to our LMS.
Co-owns the LMS governance process with People Systems to ensure all onboarded programs are consistent with the set learning and brand standards.
Acts as the custodian of all our current and future learning tech stack (LMS, ID authoring tools, data visualization tools, etc.). Responsible for providing and maintaining access management to the team.
Responsible for onboarding new tools into our learning tech stack by making sure it goes through a proper onboarding process signed off by Security, Infra, etc.
Work with our IT (People Systems) team and internal Canva U team in deploying new integrations that streamline processes and data within our tech stack.
Partner with the Learning Enablement lead to build our tech stack strategy which includes but not limited to identification, implementation, resourcing, and roll out strategy.
Proactively identify inefficiencies and work with various partners to drive process improvements through automation.
Support and upskill our Learning Experience Coordinators in LMS admin tasks (reporting, scheduling, group assignment, etc.)
Acts as a point of escalation for any LMS issues reported by end users through the Canva U service desk.
About you
Experience of administering learning using LMS, LXP, or any other learning systems. Having a practical understanding of how training programs are led in a large, geographically dispersed organization would be preferable.
Organizational skills/time management: Superior organization and time management skills
Experience of using complex HR applications (Learning Management System preferred)
Good organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills. Able to operate effectively in a constantly changing environment and use initiative and personal resourcefulness to proactively lead contingency or emergency situations
Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
Ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures
Superior organization and time management
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Experience of working in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment / shared service center across many time zones
