Job Summary
The LX designer will create authentic and memorable learning experience for new hires and tenured teammates. He/she will collaborate with the L&D Manager to design, develop and implement innovative self-paced solutions by identifying training objectives and performance targets and also defining the instructional design strategy. The LX designer will also scope and outline training content, build training plans, as well as write storyboards and scripts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure training content adheres to audio/visual specifications for desktop learning, as well as brand guidelines, accessibility guidelines, and industry best practices.
Boost and replicate learner interactions to make the it highly interactive and engaging.
Design and develop digital learning versions of solutions and contents.
Work with the Learning & Development team in the production of multimedia content, practice tests, and other learning materials.
Build new or revise previously created online courses and assessment tests in the LMS, using specifications provided by the L&D Manager.
Organize and maintain an inventory of learning objects and multimedia content used in the LMS.
Edit, convert, and implement graphics, videos, audio, animations, and HTML5 objects associated with courses and learning modules in the LMS.
Design learning experiences - classroom, virtual, e-learning, and on-the-job solutions to support operations onboarding to continuous learning.
Develop learning and performance solutions by soliciting subject matter input via surveys, roundtables, focus groups, collaborative conversations, and/or observations.
Support a full range of L&D programs including onboarding, career development, progressive level systems, and leadership development experience.
Requirements
At least 2 years' experience in designing, developing, and troubleshooting web, video, audio, graphic and multimedia deliverables.
Demonstrated experience with multimedia authoring/production/creation tools, graphic applications, editing software, instructional technologies, web platforms, and LMS.
Understanding adult learning principles, and how to best apply them to remote training environment and technological solutions
Significant experience in designing and developing asynchronous activities for virtual classroom (Adobe Connect), infographics, animations, motion-graphics, video, simulations, tests, etc. to elevate the learning experience for self-guide use, especially knowledge acquisition and practice of skills
Experience with HTML5, LMS, SCORM, including responsive development.
Strong project management skills that are demonstrated by timely task completion and quality of deliverables.
High proficiency working with Google Suite/Drive, cloud-based environments and other applications
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
