Overview:
URC is searching for an experienced Knowledge Management Specialist for the USAID BARMMHealth project in Philippines. BARMMHealth is a five-year project to bolster the capacity of the Ministry of Health- Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) in facilitating local health solutions in family planning, adolescent and youth reproductive health, and maternal and child health, towards self-reliance and sustainability.
The project works on three objectives: Improve social norms and strengthened healthy behaviors among underserved adolescents, youth, women and men, fortify quality of family planning and maternal and child health service, and bolster key public health policies and systems needed to support behaviors and services for maternal and child health.
Responsibilities:
The Knowledge Management Specialist will be responsible for all knowledge management functions of the
BARMMHealth Project.
Specific responsibilities include the following: * Implement the project's overall knowledge management activities in collaboration with project staff and USAID; manage overall knowledge management systems and ensure alignment with BARMMHealth project strategies
Develop, lead and implement strategies to foster knowledge-sharing with external stakeholders
Design and implement effective learning activities, working with clients to scope and implement appropriate and effective knowledge capture and sharing initiatives
Design, coordinate and support implementation of webinars, online trainings, virtual collaborative exchanges, symposiums, conferences and other events
Document and share learning to ensure lessons learned and best practices from activities, events and other knowledge management activities are recorded properly
Develop knowledge sharing platforms including websites, social media, and e-learning exchanges
Develop and maintain system-wide training and resource materials linked to knowledge management
Prepare progress reports
Draft fact sheets and other communication materials, e.g. briefs, reports, videos, infographics etc.
Work collaboratively with HQ knowledge management team on communications strategy, updates for URC websites, trainings, and assessments and learning to ensure alignment and cohesion
Additional and other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Conduct research and assessment activities, as may be required by the Activity.
Other tasks consistent with the nature of this position.
As needed, attend, and represent the organization in various events, seminars, and functions.

Must have adequate knowledge and applied skills in research and assessment. Must have good communication skills and work ethic. Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and with people of different cultural backgrounds. Can think outside the box to identify and share more creative, efficient and effective ways to engage colleagues, partners, and audiences.
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in knowledge management, organizational learning, or other related area
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in knowledge management and communication
Demonstrable experience in recording and storing information in a physical and digital formats
Proficiency in diverse computer applications
Extensive knowledge of key information sources on reproductive health, gender and family planning
Advanced skills in packaging information for various audience groups
Knowledge of USAID branding and communication guidelines and policies
Prior experience in knowledge management and USAID communication strategies
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and local languages
