Position target:
As Middleware IT Specialist you have the responsibility for the daily operations of Middleware technologies in DSV. The target of the position is to administer the different middleware technologies supported internally, mainly taking care of the availability, performance and security but also including the following activities:
Tasks and responsibilities:
Perform 3rd level support on middleware technologies
Ensure support availability during agreed business hours
Ensure 24/7 support availability during the rotational service guard period
Responsible for middleware technologies IT operations such as incidents resolution, service and change requests
Responsible for middleware technologies patching and security fixes
Pro-active service improvement
Develop and maintain automation mechanisms for middleware technologies
Understand the IT system architecture of the middleware supported technologies
Responsible for issue reporting and suggesting solutions to frequently occurring issues
Ensure knowledge sharing and documentations
Participating in ad-hoc projects allocated by the Management and completing them within agreed timeframes
Compliance with internal regulations, procedures, law and managers orders, including labor regulations, regulations on remuneration and other internal regulations in the company, including company's intellectual property protection
Behaviors and attitudes consistent with the values
Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education
Work experience:
As minimum 8 years of experience working in IT as middleware administrator
Experience in Confluent Cloud / Confluent Platform / Apache Kafka (preferred) or other messaging systems such as IBM MQ or Rabbit MQ
Experience in Keycloak and/or RedHat SSO
Experience in one or more application servers such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, RedHat JBoss, Wildfly and Apache Tomcat
Experience in one or more web servers like IBM HTTP Server and Apache HTTP Server
Experience in Atlassian stack tools such as Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket
Experience in automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform or Jenkins
Experience in scripting languages such as shell and python
Experience in cloud providers such as Azure, GCP or AWS
Experience in operating systems such as Linux (RedHat and/or SuSE) and Windows Server
Experience in virtual machines systems such as VMware and containerized systems such as Docker or Kubernetes
Experience in search engines like Elasticsearch
Experience in monitoring solutions such as Nagios
Education and skills: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
