What's the opportunity about?
Unbabel's infrastructure is key to the smooth running and ongoing expansion of its Language Operations platform and services. The Technical Operations (TechOps) Team is responsible for providing the internal IT Service Management function within Unbabel.
The scope of support provided includes Unbabel's core networking infrastructure, workstation and desktop support, system access rights, along with the core cloud-hosted SaaS platforms employed by Unbabel to support its core employee business functions. Support may be provided on-site at the IT Support Specialist's base office or remotely to other Unbabel staff, suppliers or clients located out-with the core offices.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the way we manage our physical office infrastructure: wireless/wired network, computers, TVs and others;
Assist with onboardings and offboardings in what pertains to IT: equipment and accounts;
Assist on operational support functions to help other employees become more productive;
Support in minor technical tasks for the SRE and Security teams (troubleshooting, writing scripts, configs,...);
Manage the allocation and maintenance of our Asset Inventory;
Diagnose hardware and software issues;
Resolve IT requests;
Ensuring that issues are kept up to date with the required information to work and report on the issue;
Ensuring that issues are responded to and resolved within the defined OLAs and SLAs;
Liaising with 3rd Parties and Vendors when necessary to aid in the successful resolution of tickets;
Reporting Bugs identified within our internal systems to the Engineering team, with the resolution of the issue tracked and reported back to the reporting user;
Training of Suppliers, Staff and Clients in the use of our Platform components and tools.
Requirements
3 years working in a Service Management role for a multi-site organisation;
English C1 (Advanced);
Computer skills:
experience of ITIL service management framework;
experience of working within an incident-based support environment;
expert knowledge of macOS MDM approaches and solutions (ABM, Jamf, etc);
experience of Ethernet and Wi-Fi networking, setup, maintenance and troubleshooting;
knowledge of CAT Tools e.g. XTM, and their principles; TMX, GMX, Glossary, Terminology is a plus.
