As a result of continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our global team, to provide specialist End User Computing, Desktop build/engineering, Provisioning, and Deployment capability to the team to support the business.
Enterprise Technology are responsible for providing technology services to the IQ-EQ regions including Core Infrastructure/Hosting, Network, End User Computing, and Identity. To support direction and growth, the team requires a breadth and depth of skills and experience to respond to the demands of a growing business whilst maintaining availability of our core systems
The candidate will need to possess a strong technical ability, as well as ability to work together with global and regional teams, primarily focussed on End user Computing, Lifecycle management, and Deployment technologies.
You will need to have experience working in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritise tasks that contribute to the delivery of project workstreams, BAU activities, and response to problems or issues. You will have the ability to work together with colleagues based all over the globe both within the Enterprise Technology team and across Workplace and End user support teams.
You will be tenacious and passionate, with the ability to take ownership of tasks whilst managing your time effectively, and prioritising these to meet deadlines. You will maintain excellent attention to detail and have a logical approach to solving problems under pressure and an active communicator on technical issues that affect client delivery.
In addition to your technical skillset, you will be experienced in executing standard changes in a controlled manner, following company procedures, and ensuring we maintain high standards across the team.
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, with specific responsibility for developing and maintaining the group SCCM environment
Provide 3rd level escalation support
Proactively ensure the highest levels of application systems and infrastructure availability
Proactively analyse existing infrastructure and networks with a view to recommending performance and efficiency improvements and enhancements
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Monitor and test application and network performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Design, Test and Deploy Endpoints via Microsoft SCCM & Autopilot
Document the deployment of Autopilot within the IQ-EQ landscape
Maintain, install, upgrade, integrate and consolidate within an existing Microsoft Azure Cloud
Perform ongoing assessments, audits, and health checks
Proactively ensure the highest levels of security and availability of software packages, and Desktop images
Create, Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures and documentation
Monitor security and system events and take appropriate action in case of incident including taking part in the off-hours monitoring rotation of the environment
Provide expertise and guidance in Microsoft Azure Cloud to colleagues
Identify which latest trends and technologies might have fit with our environment and its requirements.
Provide L3 support to the Global Service Desk and Regional End user support teams
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Minimum 3 years' experience as System Engineer in development and management of a mission critical environment with 24/7/365 availability requirements
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Microsoft Azure Certified (Azure, Active Directory, Intune, Autopilot, OneDrive)
ITIL v3 Foundation
Strong expertise in SCCM and Intune
Proven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows (AD, Exchange, O365, File-DFS, clustering) & Linux based environments.
Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Citrix)
Good security and networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP): Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Environments
Microsoft Endpoint Manager Experience including but not limited to Autopilot provisioning for AD Joined devices
Multi-country experience and demonstrates an ability to work in a multi-cultural, talented, and demanding team environment.
Possess the skills and the personality to operate effectively in a very fast-paced complex global business with an in-depth knowledge of program management
Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, with staff members, customers, suppliers, and the management team with the ability to make decisions, act and get results
